Drake is a multi-certified information security professional with a decade of experience in information technology. Drake has always been curious about how technology works. As a young child, he began taking apart his toys to study how they operate. Sometimes, he would modify them to build other toys and gadgets with the parts. At one point he even used gears and wire cable to create a system for turning his bedroom lights on and off from his bed. At age 13 he started building his first gaming computer and by 16 he was already operating a 40+ node perl slowloris botnet, which he controlled via php web shells hosted on retired game servers in a controlled lab environment. Since then, Drake has obtained multiple degrees in applied computing (Master’s in Applied Computing Technologies; Bachelors of Science in Applied Information Technology; Associates of Science in Applied Computer Networking and Information Systems) that offer a broad range of technical knowledge. Drake currently works as an Advisor, Cybersecurity -Threat Hunter at a fortune 1000. In this role, his responsibilities cover numerous domains such as Threat Hunting Ops, Purple Teaming and Detection Engineering. He has worked across several industry verticals, helping clients meet various compliance and maturity requirements.
